Luke Stewart

Senior Associate

Luke specialises in commercial, outsourcing, data protection, and regulatory matters, with a particular focus on complex and unusual commercial contracts. He acts for clients of all sizes ranging from start-ups to large multinationals, mainly in the tech and retail sectors. Typically, these are brands, manufacturers, retailers, tech companies and other service providers.

“My aim is always to simplify complex legal issues by giving pragmatic and strategic advice in plain English.”

“I love the variety that comes with acting for a broad range of clients, and have experience working in the insurance, sports, education, arts, travel, and professional services sectors. That said, my main focus is retail and tech. I'm fascinated by the dynamism of both sectors, and seeing in real time the new and innovative ways that clients are reaching their customers – with AI being a particular area of interest!

I also have extensive international experience having worked with clients across Europe, India, the US, and the Middle East.

Given the commercial nature of my work, it is incredibly important that I know my clients very well and understand the wider business impact of each deal. I also know that my clients are busy, and so my aim is always to simplify complex legal issues by giving pragmatic and strategic advice in plain English that’s easy to understand and act upon.

Whatever the situation, I am calm, friendly and responsive.”

Luke’s recent work highlights:

Helping PizzaExpress update its strategic delivery offering by moving from a single to a multi-aggregator delivery model, and launching white-label and B2B delivery services.

Helping Mixergy put in place its largest-ever commercial agreement as part of RPC's Tectonic ESG accelerator program.

Advising on the sale and purchase of Salvador Dali and Jean-Michel Basquiat artworks.
