RPC lends support to Lloyd's Diversity & Inclusion Festival

City-headquartered law firm RPC will be supporting Lloyd's of London's first ever market-wide diversity & inclusion collaboration.

Called "Dive In" the Festival is open to everyone working in insurance. The Festival is aimed at helping people learn more about the business case and relevance of diversity and inclusion for the insurance sector, and to speed up the implementation of change.

Twelve different venues across the London Market will host talks, exhibitions, mentoring sessions and workshops, with speakers including the likes of John Barnes, Angie Peacock, Gok Wan and Marcus Trescothick.

The event has been pulled together as a joint initiative by the Corporation of Lloyd’s, IUA, LIIBA, and the LMA.

RPC Partner Alexandra Anderson said: "We have been very active in the insurance sector for many years and have seen the pace of change in terms of addressing issues around diversity & inclusion accelerate rapidly over the last few years.

"Like the legal sector, though, there is still plenty of work to do which is why we were so keen to be involved in helping effect that change.

"Equally, we know we will learn a lot from taking part in the Festival, much of which we will use to inform and influence our own programmes in this area. It's been a great experience working on the development of Dive In and we're all really looking forward to its launch in the autumn."

The four-day event will be running between 29 September and 2 October 2015.
