Majority of NQs qualifying into London but NQs also bound for Hong Kong and Bristol

City headquartered professional services firm RPC has retained 82% of its Trainees set to qualify in September 2017, meaning 14 of 17 London based Trainees have secured roles as Newly Qualified solicitors with the firm.

Of the 14 who are remaining with the firm, 12 will be based in RPC's London office, while one will be based in Bristol. One of the NQs will transfer to Hong Kong in January on a permanent basis.

Simon Hart, Partner and Training Principal, said: "Like all law firms, our Trainees work very hard to secure their training contracts and then throw themselves into two years of training. It is incredibly satisfying for the firm to see our junior talent mature and to see such a high number ultimately qualifying into roles across the departments this year, including our first London based NQ moving to our office in Hong Kong.

"Whilst we were unable to accommodate a small number of our qualifying Trainees due to certain departments being heavily over-subscribed with applicants, every single one of our Trainees has made a positive contribution to life at RPC over the last two years."

Three Trainees are joining the firm's Insurance practice (two in Professional & Financial Risks; one in Property & Casualty); three join Commercial Disputes; while the Corporate group, IP & Technology and Commercial Contracts each see two Trainees join their teams. Media and Construction & Projects are taking on one qualifying Trainee each.
