City-headquartered law firm, RPC, announces its third insurance sector deal in the past ten days.

Following on from advising on the Chaucer/AXA SPS, and the acquisition of ANV by AmTrust Financial, a team from RPC has advised on the agreed management buy-out of specialist Lloyd's broker, Lonmar Global Risks Limited, backed by Global Risk Partners Limited. Completion of the transaction is subject to regulatory approval.

The RPC team was led by Peter Hill, Senior Counsel, assisted by Paul Jenkins, Senior Associate, and Jonathan Charwat, Associate.

Commenting on the deal, James Mee, ‎Partner, Head of Corporate Insurance and Financial Services, says:

"We are delighted to have advised Lonmar on this transaction. It was not without complexity, and required a great commitment and effort from all involved.

"The signing of this transaction caps a busy few weeks for the transactional insurance and financial services team at RPC.  The Lonmar / Global Risk Partners deal is the latest in a series of notable insurance broker deals our clients have trusted us with.  We are very grateful for their support."
